Chrysler is a specialist family car maker, manufacturing safe, dependable vehicles and their components in North America. At Gerry Lane, we’re proud to offer the latest and greatest vehicles from Chrysler to Louisiana families. Discover why we love these sedans and minivans and believe Baton Rouge locals will too.
Most automakers have family vehicles in their fleet, but few can boast the quality, style, and features of the sedans and minivans from Chrysler. Here are some of the reasons that many Americans choose Chrysler:
All Chrysler vehicles make great family cars. With their traditional styling and well-appointed interiors, they may seem like very similar vehicles on the surface. However, after digging a little deeper, motorists will notice the differences that can help them decide which Chrysler is right for them. Considering the family size, budget, tastes, and lifestyle can help anyone choose the right Chrysler for their needs.
The Chrysler 300 has been discontinued so it won’t be part of the Chrysler lineup after 2023, but these full-size sedans should be available in dealerships for some time yet. It’s the ideal choice for parents who love the finer things in life, with options above the base trim getting leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, and heated power-adjustable front seats with lumbar support. Its well-appointed interior is large enough to comfortably seat five and there’s enough room in the trunk for luggage and bulky items, especially with the rear seats folded flat.
The 2023 Chrysler 300 can be a sophisticated commuter, but there are also high-performance options rarely seen in this class. People looking for power can choose the 300S with a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine, which delivers 363 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque. For even more muscle, there’s the Chrysler 300C with a burly 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 motor. Producing 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque, it’s perfect for parents wanting a family vehicle during the week and a fun ride for date nights on the weekend.
The 2024 Chrysler Pacifica is every inch the sensible minivan. With space for seven, it’s the natural choice for larger families. With 32.3 cu ft of cargo space, its trunk is also nearly twice the size of the 300’s. 2024 model features, including several cup holders and storage spaces inside the cabin, keep clutter at bay. While it’s a classic minivan, the Pacifica still knows how to have fun. With a maximum towing capacity of 3,600 pounds, it’ll handle a Jet Ski, trail bikes, a small fishing boat, or even a small A-frame camper.
The Pacifica is also the only minivan on the market available as a plug-in hybrid. This option is ideal for anyone conscious of rising gas prices or their carbon footprint. Combining gas and electric technology, it’s perfect for the short journeys many families usually take, such as trips to school, the store, and extra-curricular activities. Regenerative braking recharges the battery while the Pacifica Hybrid is on the move, giving it an impressive range of 520 miles. While it’s more expensive than the standard Pacifica, ongoing savings at the pump make it an option worth considering.
Although it’s not available yet, the battery-electric Chrysler Airflow SUV may be one of the most highly anticipated releases in the automaker’s history. Chrysler’s parent company Stellantis unveiled the Airflow as a concept vehicle at CES 2022. Designed to travel between 350 and 400 miles on a single charge, it paired an electric battery with a 201-horsepower dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain. It was built on the Stellantis electric vehicle platform known as STLA, and it boasted cutting-edge technology, including an STLA SmartCockpit infotainment system with individual driver and passenger screens and the STLA Autodrive hands-free driving system.
It’s unclear how much of this technology will make it into the Airflow available for the public, or even whether it’ll retain the Airflow name. Car and Driver suggests a 2025 model may arrive as soon as next year and start from $50,000, but Chrysler is yet to announce these details. The Airflow’s release will be an important first step for Chrysler to realize its commitment to a full range of “innovative, seamlessly-connected electric vehicles” by 2028.
